Gallery Conversation: Sabine Breitwieser and Constance M. Lewallen

As the chief curator for media and performance art at the Museum of Modern Art since 2010 and the founding director and curator of the Generali Foundation in Vienna from 1988 to 2007, Sabine Breitwieser has organized exhibitions and published monographs on a wide range of performance and new genre artists including Dan Graham, Hans Haake, Mary Kelly, Martha Rosler, Allan Sekula, Andrea Fraser, Adrian Piper, and Harun Farocki. She offers her response to State of Mind: New California Art circa 1970 in a lively and informative gallery conversation with exhibition co-curator and BAM/PFA Adjunct Curator Constance M. Lewallen.
