RE@DS: Suzanne Stein and David Brazil
May 9, 2012; 7:30 p.m.
The Reading Room
Listen to poet Suzanne Stein and writer David Brazil read from their work in The Reading Room, then join in a discussion. Brazil and Stein are the co-curators of RE@DS, BAM/PFA’s spring reading series of poetry and experimental fiction.
Suzanne Stein is a poet whose new book Tout Va Bien (Displaced Press) collects a series of talks, lyrics, performances, and related documents. Since May 2011, she has been collaborating with Steven Benson on a series of weekly live, improvised, online text-chat performances.
David Brazil’s chapbook publications include Spy Wednesday, Aevum, Meet Me Under the War Angels, and Orphica. A full-length collection, Economy, is forthcoming from Compline Press.
This program is part of w(ED)nesday, a midweek superabundance of varied, interconnected, and sometimes overlapping readings, conversations, and other interactive events focused around art, literature, politics, and the world we live in.
Admission to w(ED)nesday is $7; always free for BAM/PFA members and Cal students, faculty, and staff; free with same-day theater or gallery ticket.
